Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Engineering to lead a large and talented team responsible for large-scale security solutions serving millions of users. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and leadership skills to build the future of Video Security in a global platform. You will manage engineers across multiple teams and global locations, obsess over quality and customers, and oversee global deployments.

Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering organization, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.Drive and communicate the technical strategy and roadmap for the team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and goals.Oversee the development and delivery of high-quality software solutions, meeting scalability, performance, and security requirements.Partner cross-functionally with product management, security, and compliance teams to deliver impactful and compliant solutions.Champion engineering best practices and promote a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Qualifications:
8+ years of software engineering work experience, including hands-on technical management.6+ years of experience in an Engineering leadership role.Experience successfully evolving organizations with a focus on empowering leadership teams, enabling others to make decisions, rather than dictating the "correct" way.Passionate about creating positive and engaging, high-trust employee environments, where you care about your people.Experience in building and managing diverse, high-performing, geographically-distributed engineering teams with sensitivity to different cultures.A proven track record of shipping complex, large-scale products on time and within budget.Deep understanding of software architectures and patterns.Proven track record of defining and executing an AI-first engineering strategy, moving beyond experimentation to deploy scalable, production-grade intelligent systems.Familiarity with agile methodologies and modern software development practices.Strong understanding of security and compliance standards in the technology industry. Oversee the implementation and management of security compliance programs, ensuring all cloud and on-premise solutions adhere to relevant regulations (GDPR, SOC2, ISO 27001, etc.).Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.This position is based in Vancouver, BC, and the candidate must reside in the Greater Vancouver area.
Target Base Salary Range: 200, CAD
Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
