Implement an efficient and cost‐effective supply management system to ensure inventory levels for all key consumables, reagents, and equipment parts are aligned with workflow requirements and operational demand.
* Strong working knowledge of analytical chemistry in a commercial laboratory setting;
* Proven leadership and interpersonal skills;
* Possesses tact and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders;
* Excellent computer skills, including MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint;
* Strong command of the English language, both verbal and written communication skills;
* Detail-oriented, results-focused, and strong organizational skills;
* Demonstrated judgement, creativity, integrity and ability to problem solve;
Strong safety and quality service attitude and approach to work;
* Ability to effectively handle escalations and time-critical issues;
* Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Chemistry, Geochemistry or Business;
* Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in an analytical laboratory environment, including a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role within Fire Assay;
* Demonstrated experience in a commercial business management role in the resource industry or the resource service industry;
* Previous work experience in laboratory QAQC is considered an asset;
* BC Certified Assayer or an equivalent professional designation is considered an asset.
* Ability to work in an environment that is dusty and warm;
* Ability to sit at a desk and do general office work, which includes periodic sedentary responsibilities;
* Ability to use and view a computer screen for up to 8 hours per day;
* Manual dexterity to perform keyboarding and clerical tasks;
* Wear issued personal protective equipment (PPE) when required;
* Ability to communicate via telephone and email without assistance.
* An estimated annual salary ranging from $87,000 - $92,000 CAD at the time of posting. Individual compensation is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training.
