Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Vice President, Client Operations is a strategic leader responsible for shaping and executing the firm’s client operations strategy across New Accounts, Client Services, and Client Reporting. This role drives operational excellence, scalability, and client service innovation, ensuring alignment with Nicola Wealth’s long‑term growth objectives. The Vice President, Client Operations is a key contributor to enterprise‑wide planning, change management, and cross‑functional collaboration, with a mandate to elevate the client experience and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction and senior leadership to Client Operations teams, aligning operational goals with organizational priorities and growth plans.
  • Lead the development and implementation of operational policies, procedures, and best practices to drive accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Partner with cross‑functional senior leaders to advance continuous improvement, process redesign, and technology integration.
  • Build and execute a client services growth strategy in collaboration with Private Wealth, anticipating future client needs and expanding service offerings.
  • Develop team capabilities and structure to support national expansion and strategic growth.
  • Oversee relationships with key custodians and vendors, ensuring adherence to service level agreements and enhancing service delivery.
  • Monitor KPIs and quality assurance metrics to ensure superior client service and operational performance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and client‑centricity.
  • Champion change leadership, guiding teams through transformation initiatives, digital integration, and organizational design enhancements.
  • Inspire a growth mindset and commitment to learning across the Client Operations function.
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of senior leadership experience in client operations, preferably within the financial industry and exposure to investments and insurance.
  • Undergraduate degree required; financial industry designations are an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale teams, anticipate future client needs, and lead strategic initiatives.
  • Experience integrating digital strategies and leading change management initiatives.
  • Proven success in dynamic, entrepreneurial environments requiring superior prioritization and communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits Package

This position comes with a base salary range of $200,000 - $230,000 plus a competitive performance bonus, RRSP contribution and participation in our profit‑sharing program.
