About the OpportunityTŝideldel First Nation is looking for a full-time Child & Family Services Manager based in Chilanko Forks, BC
, with a hybrid work arrangement negotiable for candidates based in or near Williams Lake, supported by regular travel to the community.
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, you will play a pivotal role in leading, coordinating, and overseeing culturally grounded, community-driven, and trauma-informed wellness, prevention, mental health, and child and family services that support the wellbeing, safety, and resilience of Tŝideldel children, youth, and families.
In this position, you will be primarily responsible for providing strategic leadership across multiple programs, supervising a multidisciplinary team, strengthening community and partner relationships, and ensuring services are delivered in alignment with funding agreements, delegated standards, and Tŝilhqot'in values as the Nation advances its child and family services jurisdiction.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leading the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of wellness, prevention, mental health, and child and family programs
- Overseeing programs such as Family Wellness, School Outreach, High-Risk Outreach, cultural prevention initiatives, and mental health services
- Providing day-to-day leadership, supervision, and professional development support to a multidisciplinary team
- Ensuring culturally grounded, trauma-informed, and community-led service delivery across all programs
- Managing budgets, financial controls, reporting, and compliance with funding and delegated program requirements
- Coordinating service delivery, intake, and oversight in collaboration with delegated service partners and affiliates
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with community members, agencies, schools, and external partners
- Representing Tŝideldel First Nation in meetings, initiatives, and forums related to wellness and child and family services

About YouTo qualify, you will ideally have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education (Counselling), or a related field, and ideally, you bring 3–5 years of experience in wellness, mental health, or child and family services, including supervisory or management responsibilities
. A combination of relevant skills and experience, along with a demonstrated willingness to learn about First Nations communities and cultural practices, will also be considered.
The following are required:
- BC Class 5 Driver’s License
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly to support services across rural and remote communities
- Ability to undergo a police record check and vulnerable sector screening
