This position is full‑time and permanent, based in Vancouver.
Your Main ResponsibilitiesAs Field Supervisor – Existing Installations you will be the primary point of contact for customers within the business unit and manage all resources within your prescribed area. You will ensure business targets for the branch are met while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Customer and Account Management- Build and maintain favorable client relationships
- Respond to customer inquiries promptly and professionally, following up on complaints to satisfactory resolution
- Interpret customer concerns and mobilize internal resources to preserve satisfaction while minimizing cost and employee disruption
- Understand the financial goals and expectations of the company and meet or exceed assigned sales and customer objectives
- Plan, develop and implement sales strategies that align with internal strategy while reflecting customer needs and competitive offers
- Prepare and present information for service and fixed‑priced repair offerings
- Identify and pursue potential customers to support strategic growth objectives
- Analyze customer needs and secure business through application of company products and services
- Work with owners and building management to obtain maintenance agreements, renewals, and system updates to meet new code requirements or new technologies
- Source, analyze, communicate and apply competitive data to provide recommendations for market‑target pricing
- Develop sales proposals and prepare estimates for the sale of company products and services
- Ensure full utilization of systems and follow best demonstrated practices (BDP)
- Maintain required customer information and files in accordance with established procedures
- Cooperate with Contract Control on sales contract agreements
- Manage accounts receivable for assigned accounts
- Participate in professional development programs to enhance knowledge of elevator products, services and procedures
- Implement customer and company requirements for quality, performance reliability and passenger safety at each location
- Ensure exceptional quality standards, training and performance of field personnel
- Manage hourly field employees through mentoring, guidance and constructive feedback to promote development
- Adjust manpower to meet customer requirements while maintaining budget compliance
- Coach field employees on company methods for quality, productivity and safety
- Monitor work of all hourly field employees both quantitatively and qualitatively
- Review time tickets for accuracy and maintain vacation schedules
- Encourage employees to adopt teamwork practices that improve quality and productivity
- Manage and support all service work within the area of responsibility according to the financial budget
- Manage ongoing program of project field audits to ensure conformance to performance standards of quality, completeness and safety
- Implement route management strategy to ensure uniform application of preventative maintenance while controlling manpower
- Provide technical support to sales and field employees
- Ensure ISO compliance
- Post‑secondary education, preferably in business or engineering
- 3‑5 years of experience in the elevator industry or a related field that includes sales and servicing of capital equipment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Coaching and mentoring ability to motivate and guide team members
- Excellent communication skills
