PositionSummary
Under the direction of the Facility Working Supervisor, Housekeepers perform various housekeeping, cleaning and maintenance tasks. In the absence of the Supervisor, Housekeeping Workers may receive instruction from the General Manager or their designate. This role pays an hourly rate of $21.53 CAD (per CBA).

From a versatile ballroom/trade show floor, nine multi‑purpose meeting rooms to two reception lobbies, the VICC can accommodate up to 1,450 people.
- Perform skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the housekeeping, cleaning and maintenance of the facility and assets.
- Work from general instructions and specifications, with minimal supervision.
- Assist in ensuring venues cleanliness and day to day janitorial needs are met and maintained.
- Operate a variety of hand‑operated equipment used in the cleaning and maintenance of the facility such as vacuum cleaners, polishers, shampooers and other cleaning and maintenance equipment as required.
- Perform housekeeping, cleaning and maintenance of facility spaces and fixtures such as floors, walls, windows, doors, offices, meeting rooms, corridors, lobbies, elevators, washrooms, sinks, toilets, urinals, tables, chairs, staging, and other spaces, articles and fixtures.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work – staff, contractors and facility users.
- Work effectively in a service oriented environment subject to frequently changing priorities.
- Be available for work on a need basis which could include early mornings, days, evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays, extended (long) work days and extended numbers of days.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience in working at a multi use facility.
- High school diploma or equivalent GED.
- Knowledge of customer service practices.
