What You’ll Do Core Legal Work
- Lead trials, mediations, discoveries, and complex files independently.
- Originate and manage files through your established network.
- Develop and refine legal precedents for the team.
- Mentor and collaborate with lawyers at all levels.
- Conduct sophisticated research and deepen expertise in 1–2 sub‑practice areas.
- Navigate the full litigation lifecycle strategically to maximize file value.
- Deliver outstanding client care across jurisdictions and client types.
- Lead PNC calls and prepare high‑quality correspondence, settlement documents, and demands.
- Review and redact documents, interview witnesses, and appear on applications.
- Support senior lawyers in trial prep or act as second chair as needed.
- Manage escalated client concerns with professionalism and clarity.
- Represent the firm as a speaker or writer at internal and external events.
- Partner across sub‑practice groups to develop new business opportunities.
- Contribute to billing and file‑opening targets with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Grow and maintain a strong professional network and recognizable personal brand.
- Coach junior litigators and provide thoughtful, practical guidance.
- Stay ahead of deadlines, limitation periods, and client expectations.
- Champion firm values and contribute to culture‑building initiatives.
- Perform additional tasks as required by Partner(s).
- Called to the BC Bar with 6–12 years of practice experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in one or more of:
Real Estate, Securities, Bankruptcy, Insurance, Professional Negligence. - Member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia.
- A strong professional and community network.
- Exceptional conflict‑resolution skills and client‑service instincts.
- Proven ability to work independently while elevating team performance.
- Entrepreneurial drive with interest in practice development.
- Demonstrated research strength and comfort working fully paperless.
- Positive, proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong prioritization, communication, and time‑management skills.
- Ability to remain composed and constructive in challenging situations.

Salary Range:$145,000–$165,000, with potential for higher placement depending on year of call, experience, and skillset.
