Position Overview

We are seeking a Paralegal
. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about immigration law and eager to contribute to meaningful work that impacts lives.

• Draft and prepare legal documents, submissions, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
• Assist with preparation for hearings before the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB) and Federal Court.
• Manage case files and maintain organized records.
• Interview clients to gather information.
• Communicate effectively with clients, government agencies, and internal team members.
• Support in scheduling, filing, and other administrative tasks related to immigration matters.

• Familiarity with IRB and Federal Court processes, or a strong interest in immigration litigation.
• Strong writing skills and excellent communication skills are essential.
• At least one year of experience in immigration and refugee legal work (applications, compliance, litigation).
• Ability to conduct thorough research and analyze data effectively.
• A self-starter who can work independently and prioritize workload effectively.
• Sound judgement, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal practice management & bookkeeping software.

• Post-secondary education, such as bachelor’s degree, paralegal’s diploma, Graduate Diploma in immigration & citizenship law, etc.

• $57,000 to $72,000 depending on experience
