Senior Family Lawyer

Darnell Law Group is a well-established law firm with over 30 years of experience serving Surrey and Langley, British Columbia. Our practice includes family law, estate and civil litigation and wills and estates.

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Lawyer located in Surrey, BC. The Senior Lawyer will manage a diverse caseload, provide legal advice, represent clients in court proceedings, draft and review legal documents, and conduct thorough legal research. They will oversee and guide junior staff and lawyers, develop litigation strategies, and ensure compliance with legal regulations.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of litigation, oral advocacy and research skills

Clear, persuasive writing ability

Strategic and analytical thinking

Highly motivated and self-starting

Expertise in drafting and reviewing legal documents and contracts

Proven track record in court representation and advocacy skills

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities

Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent and in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia

5-7+ years of relevant legal experience

Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments with strong organizational skills
