Legal Administrative Assistant – Employment & Labour and Litigation, Vancouver
BC Legal Management Association is looking for a Legal Administrative Assistant to support a team of lawyers practicing in our Employment & Labour and Litigation groups. This position is ideal for someone enthusiastic, flexible, and adept at client management and billing support.

Duties & Responsibilities- Billing support for a group of lawyers, including generating and transmitting monthly bills through electronic billing hubs (E-billing experience is an asset).
- Provide all administrative support: conducting conflicts checks, opening and closing files.
- Maintain established filing systems and confidential files.
- Document production support for daily correspondence, pleadings, and other documents.
- File preparation and management.
- Assist with booking tribunal and court dates and communicate with registries.
- Organize, assemble, and manage documents and books for hearings.
- Liaise with legal assistants, paralegals, other lawyers, and clients on file progress.
- Perform other legal duties as required.
- Minimum of 5 years as a Legal Administrative Assistant, with Litigation experience. Employment & Labour experience is an asset.
- Graduate of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program or relevant experience.
- Understanding and familiarity with administrative tribunal and court procedures.
- Proven experience handling a high-volume practice.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management, prioritizing high-volume tasks.
- Dedicated to providing service beyond expectation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven problem‑solving skills and creative solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple internal clients and adapt to their needs.
