Responsibilities
Lead Product Design
Work with Experience, Product, UX Design, SMEs, and business leads to spearhead the development of human-centered, impactful digital experiences that align with our digital transformation strategy and organizational goals.
Lead the product design process from early concept (including workshops and creative brainstorms) through implementation, with a focus on collaborating with development teams to translate designs into functional products.
Bring seasoned design judgment to converge on effective solutions efficiently, challenging business requirements and product strategy when necessary, while articulating and justifying design decisions through an intimate understanding of business goals.
Develop and optimize user-interface designs across multiple devices that are on brand, compelling, intuitive, with an extraordinary attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Create experiences that not only satisfy user needs but also deliver measurable improvements in business outcomes.
Use operational data and user insights collected post-launch to make recommendations for optimization and future improvements.
Champion development of design systems, UX/UI methodologies and components, and best practices across the organization.
Build Design Capability
Mentor and coach internal UX designers and cross-functional team members on design thinking and human-centered design principles.
Assess and recommend improvements to design processes, tools, and ways of working to increase organizational design maturity.
Facilitate knowledge transfer by documenting design decisions, creating reusable frameworks, and leading internal learning sessions.
Translate Research into Design
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with senior leadership and business partners, providing clear, persuasive arguments for design strategies and challenging assumptions when necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including experience, product, marketing, and tech to ensure cohesive implementation of experiences that meet business and user objectives.
Influence and bravery
Present ideas confidently, communicate complex concepts in simple terms, and challenge status quo to push the business toward innovative and effective design solutions.
Embrace a proactive, fearless attitude in decision-making and speaking up in senior-level meetings, even when offering counter perspectives or new ideas.
Strongly advocate for the user, ensuring their needs are understood by teams and prioritized in brainstorming sessions. This includes taking the initiative to speak up in meetings and challenging assumptions in the effort to drive meaningful discussions and decisions that lead to stronger solutions.
