Technical Architect- Engineering Lead; Data & AI focus

About the Opportunity:

Fastloop’s consulting model requires a team who is willing and able to work quickly, across new industries/verticals, with emerging technologies, in a fast, agile fashion. All team members must be extremely proactive, willing to explore the unknown and comfortable adapting to changing technical and functional requirements. We’re looking for a Technical Architect & Engineering Lead who’s excited to design and build modern Data & AI solutions.
This is not a “draw boxes and arrows” role. Instead it’s a hybrid architect/engineer position for someone who loves shaping solutions and rolling up their sleeves to code, prototype, and deliver.

You’ll play a pivotal role across the lifecycle of client engagements: from solutioning and prototyping to delivery and technical assurance. You’ll represent Fastloop as a trusted advisor, mentor teammates, and help us stay on the leading edge of AI and engineering practices.

What you'll need to succeed:

• Consulting Experience:
  • Proven experience in a client-facing consulting or professional services environment
  • Ability to context switch across multiple clients, industries, and projects in parallel
  • Comfort working in agile, fast-changing environments with ambiguous requirements
  • Strong stakeholder management, from technical teams to C-level executives
  • Proactive, problem-solving mindset with a track record for action and delivery
• Technical Experience:
  • 7+ years building modern cloud-based solutions (ideally in consulting or multi-client roles)
  • Proficiency with GCP
  • Deep, hands-on experience in:
    • Data engineering (ETL/ELT, orchestration, APIs, structured/unstructured data)
    • Applied AI/ML (model development, tuning, deployment, observability)
    • Generative AI & Agent frameworks (Lang Chain, Crew.ai, Agent Space, Llama Index, etc.)
    • Architecture & Dev Ops (CI/CD, containerization, IaC)
  • Strong system design and architecture thinking across data, AI, and infrastructure
  • Understanding of security, performance, and reliability in production-grade solutions
  • Skilled at producing high-quality documentation and design assets (diagrams, repos, configs)
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery and iterative approaches

Nice to Have:

• Multi-cloud experience (Azure, AWS)
• Experience with dbt, Looker, Dataform, Airflow, etc,
• MLOps, ML pipelines, or Vector DBs (e.g., Weaviate, Pinecone)
• Google Cloud Certifications (e.g., Professional Data Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer)
• Agile certifications (CSM, CSPO)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
