The Role  Hi, I m Alex, I lead the Telehealth team at Jane, where we build the virtual care experiences that help practitioners connect meaningfully with their patients - and do their best work. Telehealth sits at the intersection of clinical care, real-time communication, and thoughtful product design. Our team is small, collaborative, and deeply invested in the outcomes our customers need.

We partner closely with product, design, and engineering to ship experiences that aren t just functional - they re genuinely delightful for clinics and patients alike. This role is especially meaningful because you ll help shape the next chapter of Telehealth  re evolving our architecture, building more of our own UI and UX, and exploring how AI can responsibly augment virtual care workflows.

Shape the future of virtual care by delivering thoughtful, reliable features that improve how practitioners and patients connect.
Drive clarity and alignment across product, design, and engineering - communicating early, surfacing trade-offs, and building shared understanding.
Set the technical standard through strong systems thinking and design judgment, balancing velocity with durability and building for the long term.
Lead with curiosity by experimenting with emerging technologies like AI, forming hypotheses, building proofs-of-concept, and iterating toward meaningful outcomes.
Elevate the team through mentorship, generous context-sharing, and holding a high bar for what we ship.
What Experience We Need   A University Degree in Computer or a related STEM field plus approximately 5+ years of experience. Those with a Master s or PhD may be considered with less experience. Alternatively, candidates with 8+ years of industry experience gained through non-traditional paths, such as bootcamps or self-teaching, are also encouraged to apply!
Significant depth and domain experience at a Senior level with demonstrated ability in leading technical design, architecture, and delivering medium to high-complexity projects or services with a proficient understanding of software development methodologies
Ability and experience in coaching and mentoring junior and intermediate developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
Proactively identifies and addresses technical challenges to ensure smooth project delivery with scalable, maintainable solutions, while advocating for and adhering to best practices to continuously improve code quality, test coverage, and development workflows
Demonstrates adaptability to learn new technologies and contributes across multiple domains beyond personal expertise, paired with a deep sense of ownership and accountability for the quality and success of team deliverables
Champion AI adoption within the team by introducing relevant context engineering patterns, and documenting repeatable practices.
