Overview
Sr. Software Development Engineer, Pricing Customer Experience and Trust (L6). This role impacts millions of customers by building and improving pricing experiences, helping customers understand price value and trust in prices shown on Amazon.
Responsibilities- Help enhance the customer journey by informing users if a price should be featured or promoted to buyers.
- Build customer experiences viewed by millions of people daily.
- Collaborate within a fast-paced, startup-like team with low technical debt and a rich roadmap of new features to transform how customers perceive price value.
- Contribute to designing scalable, reliable systems for pricing experiences and price perception.
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming experience in at least one programming language
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency and willingness to learn prompting and evaluation practices
- Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
