The RBC Team is hiring for a Sr. Quality Engineer role within the GFT Team. As a Sr. Quality Engineer, you provide support for a suite of business mission‑critical and complex applications, understanding both front‑end and back‑end. The technology platform spans Linux, cloud, Python, big data/Hadoop and ML platforms. You lead and execute quality control and QE testing of cross‑functional, multi‑platform application systems, applying extensive knowledge and practices to perform complex assignments.

• Coordinate coding, testing, implementation and documentation of application solutions.
• Create test plans, test cases and test scripts based on complex requirement documents and business user stories.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites, executing automated test cases, documenting results and raising defects.
• Track component or end‑to‑end issues as required.
• Use JIRA, Confluence, qTest for test case management, defect management and test reporting.
• Participate in defect triage and Scrum meetings.
• Test new technologies and system functionality to ensure business, user and system integration acceptance.
• Collaborate with team members, stakeholders and business partners, communicating effectively and managing relationships.
• Continuously enhance your own skills and build knowledge across the organization.

• Minimum 3 years of QA/testing experience focusing on technical, automated testing in varied environments (cloud, big data, data warehouse, services/APIs, databases).
• Experience with ETL testing.
• Excellent SQL scripting skills.
• Hands‑on coding (Python, Java) and experience with test automation frameworks/tools such as SoapUI/Ready
  
  API, Postman, Selenium, JMeter.
• Experience with cloud, Unix/Linux environments and Hadoop.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies, test design techniques and tools (qTest, JIRA, Confluence).
• Understanding of QE processes, testing life cycle, SDLC, defect management for application testing, development and support.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and Dev Ops tools such as Git Hub, Docker, UCD, Git Hub Actions and experience on Agile projects.
• Strong problem‑solving, design and analytical skills with creative testing approaches.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Computer Engineering, Computer Science degree/diploma or equivalent experience.

• QA related certification (e.g., ISTQB, Agile testing).
• Experience with Machine Learning projects.
• Experience with Git Hub Copilot.
