Amazon is seeking motivated and hardworking individuals to fill a Data Center Materials Associate (DCMA) position at our IT Warehouse in Vancouver. The role works Monday‑Friday 9:00 am – 5:30 pm (subject to change) and supports corporate IT offices across Canada by providing asset replenishment or procedural support. The successful DCMA will pack shipments, maintain IT inventory, support receive, induct, pick, and audit of assets assigned to the IT department, and maintain general housekeeping of all IT areas.

Responsibilities
  • Work in‑person in a warehouse five days a week.
  • Receive, store, and track IT assets (laptops, peripherals, accessories) with high accuracy, ensuring all items are logged and handled according to internal IT and Info Sec policies.
  • Pick and prepare IT equipment for configuration, deployment, and shipment, ensuring hardware is ready for new hires, office replenishments, and customer‑facing needs.
  • Pack and process shipments for internal offices and direct‑to‑customer deliveries, maintaining accuracy, quality, and safe transport standards.
  • Prepare IT assets for transportation in line with IT and Info Sec policies, including safe handling and destruction of IT media in accordance with Info Sec policy.
  • Appropriately manage returned IT assets in accordance with compute reuse processes, reverse logistics processes, or disposal processes.
  • Prepare all new‑hire equipment and support campus IT staff at new‑hire orientation.
  • Assist other teams in tearing down and removing IT assets from staff who have left the organization, transporting these assets in accordance with Info Sec policy.
  • Support warehouse operations including receiving, inducting, inventory audits, cycle counts, and general asset management.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and compliant warehouse and IT storage areas, following standardized housekeeping practices.
  • Adapt to shifting operational priorities, balancing corporate IT needs with warehouse workflow demands and taking initiative to switch tasks without direct prompting.
Basic Qualifications
  • High school or equivalent diploma.
  • Fluent in English (speaking, writing, and reading).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
  • Work 40 hours per week, overtime as required.
  • Ability to stand/walk for 8–10 hours at a time, bend and lift equipment up to 49 lbs, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
  • Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system and coordination with a manager.
  • Age 18 years or older.
  • Legal capacity to perform the work and comply with company policies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems.
  • Experience with in a distribution center, logistics, or manufacturing environment.

The base salary for this position ranges from $49,400 /year up to $59,300 /year, along with potential equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation as part of a total compensation package.
