Your Role in Supporting Our Members

As a Senior Integration Engineer – Operations, you’ll own the platforms that keep our business running seamlessly. You’ll be the go‑to expert for ensuring systems remain stable, resilient, and responsive. This role offers opportunities to collaborate with development and release teams, safeguard production environments, resolve incidents, automate routine tasks, and contribute to AI‑driven solutions that enhance backend support.

This is a Full‑time, Permanent role based at Vancity head office. While the position offers a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on‑site for events and business demands when needed.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Integration Platform Management: Support and maintain Mule Soft Runtime Fabric on AKS, Azure API Management, Azure Service Bus/Event Grid, Logic Apps, and Azure Functions.
  • Production Change & Release Management: Partner with CAB and Release Management teams to plan, approve, and execute production changes.
  • Monitoring & Observability: Proactively monitor system health using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Grafana.
  • Production Support & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve production issues across the integration platform stack.
  • On‑Call / Pager‑Duty Support: Provide after‑hours, weekend, and on‑call support for critical production issues.
  • Incident Management & RCA: Lead incident investigations, perform detailed RCAs, and implement permanent fixes.
  • Collaboration with Development & Release Teams: Validate deployments and ensure smooth transition of changes into production.
  • Automation & Documentation: Develop playbooks and automation scripts to improve reliability and response times, and maintain troubleshooting guides.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years driving production support, backend operations, and integration platform reliability.
  • 5+ years hands‑on with Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, API Management) or equivalent cloud integration platforms; 2+ years with Mule Soft.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting complex production incidents across APIs, integration platforms, and backend services.
  • Strong programming skills with experience building and maintaining scalable, resilient backend services.
  • Deep knowledge of observability and monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Grafana, Splunk).
  • Skilled in automating operational tasks, creating runbooks, and improving incident response and system uptime.
  • Solid understanding of authentication, authorization, and security best practices in production environments.
  • Collaborative problem‑solver with excellent communication skills, able to work seamlessly with development, release, and operations teams.

This role offers a salary range of $101,200 to $130,000 per annum
