ResponsibilitiesThe Talent Solutions Consultant will:
- Serve as an employment consultant for recruitment, screening, and selection approvals of SHRA and EHRA non-faculty employees.
- Provide professional consultation and training on recruitment policies, procedures, and best practices to campus managers involved in hiring for these classifications.
- Collaborate with HR Managers and Consultants in Class and Comp and Employee Relations to ensure recruitment aligns with the University’s vision, mission, and strategic goals.
- Work with the Talent Solutions Manager and departmental hiring managers to plan, develop, and implement recruiting strategies.
- Refine hiring processes and workflows to support operational efficiency and evaluate and streamline processes with the Talent Solutions team to create diverse, high-quality candidate pools based on current and future needs.
Minimum education and experience
Bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Knowledge of Federal and State employment and hiring laws and regulations.
- Experience in developing recruitment strategies and targeted recruitment efforts for difficult-to-fill positions; experience with applicant tracking systems (People Admin) preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, organizational and time management skills; competency in MS Office (Word and Excel); ability to handle sensitive confidential data.
- Skills:
project management, conflict resolution, effective written and verbal communication, and strong interpersonal abilities. - Adaptability to changes, managing competing demands, and handling delays or unexpected events.
