Huawei Canada has an immediate permanent opening for a Human Resources Business Partner.
About the TeamThe Human Resources Department is a strategic partner that supports all of Huawei Canada. It plays a pivotal role in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent while ensuring compliance with corporate and legal standards. The department prioritizes employee well‑being and professional growth, cultivating a culture of collaboration and success.
About the Job- Drive the design and execution of HR initiatives, including talent management (orientation, performance management, training, new hire onboarding), employee engagement, and organizational development.
- Provide support to managers on HR topics such as employee relations, regulations and policies, and performance issues.
- Oversee the management and progress of local recruitment initiatives and recruiters.
- Assist with the development and administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines to support Corporate HR and business priorities.
- Administer HR policies, procedures, and programs in service of the HR team.
- Conduct data analysis to support the implementation of HR programs, processes, and services aligned to talent, performance, and compensation, organization design, assessments, and talent planning.
- Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees on performance‑related issues, including talent identification, organizational planning, recognition and rewards, attendance/performance, performance improvement, terminations, employee relations, and corporate people movement.
Base salary ranges from $48,000 to $94,000 depending on education, experience and demonstrated expertise.
Ideal Candidate- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Management or Business. Master’s Degree and/or CHRL / CPHR Certified HR Professional designation is an asset.
- 5+ years of HR Business Partner experience, specifically in HR solutions, guidelines and policies.
- Strong HR knowledge and experience in British Columbia employment law & practices.
- Employment/labor law and policy acumen to problem solve, influence and coach employees and managers to drive higher engagement and performance.
- Understanding of recruitment fundamentals, including talent mapping, sourcing, screening, interviewing and selection processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
