In this role, you will sit directly with the Fixed Income investment team, working side by side with Portfolio Managers, Traders, and Analysts. You will help build and enhance the systems that support the full end to end investment lifecycle, with direct exposure to portfolio construction and investment decision making.

We are one of the few Fixed Income teams in Canada integrating quantitative and fundamental investing, building a unified platform from the ground up to support both systematic and discretionary strategies within a top performing business. This is a unique opportunity to develop expertise across both Fixed Income and technology. You will shape the tools and infrastructure that drive performance.

• Partner closely with portfolio managers, sector specialists, quant researchers, traders, and engineers to design and evolve investment systems, working across technologies including but not limited to kdb, Angular, Python, and Databricks. As new business initiatives emerge, we evaluate and incorporate additional technologies where they add value.
• Maintain and enhance production systems that are critical to daily portfolio management and trading workflows.
• Contribute to the architecture and development of the next generation of Fixed Income infrastructure, leveraging modern data platforms and technologies to expand analytical capabilities and insight generation.
• Identify opportunities to improve, simplify, and modernize legacy processes — and drive those initiatives from concept through implementation.

• Strong Programming Foundation – A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent depth of practical experience.
• Analytical Depth – You enjoy complex problems and are capable of rigorous, structured thinking.
• Collaborative Communication – You work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and can translate ideas across disciplines.
• Interest in Fixed Income – Prior experience is not required; intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn are essential.
• Ownership Mentality – You take responsibility for systems end-to-end and are comfortable making decisions, exploring new technologies, and driving execution.
• Growth Orientation – You continuously develop your technical and domain expertise in an environment where both technology and investment requirements evolve.
