Associate, Private Clients
Leith Wheeler Investment Counsel Ltd. is an employee-owned firm, headquartered in Vancouver with offices in Calgary, Toronto, and Montreal. We manage over $30 billion of assets on behalf of pension, foundation, corporate, Aboriginal, and individual clients across Canada.
We are seeking an Associate to join our Vancouver team on a 18-month maternity leave coverage contract. This role will support our team of Portfolio Manager in providing seamless and personalized service to clients and consultants. A significant component of the role involves overseeing and processing Know Your Client (KYC) documentation, with a strong focus on accuracy and consistency.
This role is also responsible to coordinate administrative, operational, and investment-related tasks to help deliver an outstanding client experience and ensuring operational excellence.
Salary Range: $68,000 - $75,000 per annum, with the higher end of the range for more experienced candidates.

Job Description:- Account Administration
- Assist with ongoing KYC updates and suitability reviews.
- Ensure documentation and processes comply with regulatory standards.
- Facilitate onboarding of new clients, including documentation, KYC, and compliance processes.
- Maintain accurate client data and ensure CRM systems are up to date.
- Process account changes, transfers, cash movements, and trade instructions efficiently.
- Liaise with internal departments and external partners to resolve client issues.
- Client Servicing & Relationship Management
- Serve as a point of contact for client requests.
- Prepare meeting materials, investment reports, and correspondence.
- Support client meetings through coordination, note-taking, and follow-up.
- Build strong relationships with clients by ensuring timely, proactive communication.
- Support portfolio rebalancing, client reporting, and performance review activities.
- Prepare trade tickets, investment proposals, and financial planning summaries.
- Monitor key client milestones, portfolio events, and tax-related deadlines.
2-5 years’ experience working in private wealth, investment advisory, or financial services.
Enrollment in the CFA program is an asset.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.
Familiarity with Bloomberg, Advent, and Salesforce software preferred.
