A Management Analyst II job is available with the City of Fort Worth – Human Resources, Risk Management division. The position will perform a wide variety of complex research and analytical duties related to organizational analysis and budget preparation and monitoring.

The Management Analyst II must be self‑motivated and well‑adapted to work under pressure while meeting deadlines with speed, accuracy, and a professional attitude, as well as demonstrate the ability to be creative and strategic across a range of projects and work.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Public Administration, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Two (2) years of experience in the analysis of processes, procedures, operations, data, systems or methods, including experience in the functional areas of assignment such as budget/financial management, research analysis, or related experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with benchmark analysis and analytical research
  • Experience with municipal budgeting principles
  • Experience preparing complex analytical reports
  • Experience with People Soft Financials
  • Experience with procure process
Job Responsibilities
  • Develop periodic reports on the data analysis conducted, including tables, charts, and graphs depicting the data analysis
  • Prepare written work products, research memoranda, and presentations that clearly describe complex analyses, findings, and actionable recommendations
  • Conduct ongoing budget analysis throughout the fiscal year; comply, review, and analyze budget submissions to ensure alignment with financial goals and policies
  • Develop and manage allocations for Workers’ Compensation, monitoring claims and forecasting potential liabilities
  • Provide day‑to‑day financial support, including general ledger reconciliations, budget transfers, and encumbrance management, and monitor departmental expenditures
  • Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts, trend analyses, and scenario modeling to support strategic planning and decision making
  • Review and identify opportunities for process improvement in reporting, budgeting, and data analysis workflows
  • Manage City Wide Statement of Values, for property procurement
Working Conditions and Physical Demand

Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions.

Sedentary work – the position may require lifting up to 10 pounds occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently. The job is predominantly sedentary, with walking and standing only occasionally.
