Overview
Financial Accountant and Systems Administrator role with Forest Professionals BC (FPBC). This position is based in the Vancouver office and reports to the Director, Finance and Administration. Salary range: $63,000 – $72,000 (equals $32.21 – $36.92 /hr), plus pension and benefits. Base locale:
Vancouver, British Columbia.
Forest Professionals BC is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Financial Accountant and Systems Administrator to support financial operations and the financial functions of our Registrant (Client) Management System (RMS), in1touch. This role blends hands-on accounting work, systems administration, and collaboration with staff, registrants, and stakeholders. You will ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, registration-related billing, reconciliations, audit preparation, and responding to inquiries about payments, invoices, reimbursements, and outstanding transactions.
Your responsibilities include processing payables, generating invoices, recording and reconciling payments, issuing refunds, completing monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, preparing GST remittances, managing investment and fixed asset entries, and providing essential audit support. You will also help maintain the RMS by running data quality checks, reconciling financial information, validating reports, and creating or updating payment workflows using third‑party platforms.
This position supports integration between the RMS and accounting systems (such as Quick Books) and contributes to user acceptance testing for new or updated financial system processes. This is a diverse role that requires effective communication, problem-solving, and the ability to balance multiple priorities with independence and confidence.
