Opportunity

As a Senior Tax Staff, you will be part of our Transfer Pricing team and, broadly, our International Tax & Transactions Services group. You will work alongside a team of dedicated transfer pricing economists and tax professionals to provide a fully integrated approach to transfer pricing, which includes preparing annual documentation, defending transfer pricing results in tax audits, designing transfer pricing policies, and advising multinational enterprises on how to streamline and automate their transfer pricing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Senior Tax Staff in our Transfer Pricing practice actively participate in various challenging engagements and deliver quality transfer pricing services to our diverse portfolio of clients.

Core Elements of the Role
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of economic, finance, and accounting principles and effectively apply such knowledge to client engagements, including the preparation of documentation, advanced pricing submissions, audit defence materials, and planning documents.
  • Deliver quality services and work products in a timely and responsive manner, thoroughly and accurately analysing factual and financial information to generate insights and arrive at logical conclusions.
  • Assist with and oversee the preparation of high‑quality, practical approaches to clients’ situations.
  • Demonstrate versatility and adaptability to various management styles and different types of projects.
  • Present the results of your work to small groups of colleagues or client personnel.
  • Perform and review industry, company and other research as needed.
  • Participate in and contribute to achieving team goals.
  • Delegate and oversee work performed by onshore and offshore junior team members.
Skills and Attributes for Success
  • A post‑secondary degree in economics, accounting, finance, business or a related field, or a professional designation.
  • Two or more years of relevant experience, ideally gained in a professional services firm.
  • Experience in transfer pricing is essential.
  • The ability to thrive within a fast‑paced, professional services environment requiring multi‑tasking and frequent collaboration with colleagues and clients.
  • The capacity to quickly understand fast‑moving situations.
  • The ability to coach and guide junior team members as well as effectively manage projects.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

The salary range for this job in British Columbia is $50,000 to $79,000. Individual salaries within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and work location city.
