REAL ESTATE DEBT
Since inception, our Real Estate Debt division has funded and/or advised on $2.5B+ of commercial deals. We provide financing solutions for land, subdivisions, multi-family residential, retail, industrial, office, hospitality, mixed-use properties, as well as specialized options such as equity and structured financing.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Evaluate and recommend CMHC mortgage loans in accordance with procedures and policy guidelines

Coordinate underwriting, CMHC submission, documentation, approvals, and funder requirements

Coordinate the flow of deals from start to end, assist leadership in process development, automation and develop reports to monitor efficiency

Act as primary point of contact with funders and internal stakeholders

Identify execution issues, bottlenecks, and exceptions early

Provide structured feedback to Technology teams on process and system builds and gaps

Support UAT and adoption of CMHC tools and workflows

YOUR CAPABILITIES AND CREDENTIALS

Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field.

3-5 years' experience in commercial banking; working on a variety of CMHC Insured loans, syndications, etc.

Knowledge of CMHC policies and corporate lending policies a must.

Strong understanding of commercial real estate markets in Canada.

Expert in financial statements and real estate analysis.

Excellent Excel and data modelling skills. Advanced Microsoft office skills required.

Experience in ERP implementation in any business function considered an asset.

Skilled in managing cross‑functional, time‑sensitive projects with minimal supervision, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder alignment.

Strong analytical capabilities in identifying bottlenecks and implementing process improvements in the workflow.

Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
