Financial Analyst

Horizon Recruitment is recruiting for a Junior Financial Analyst to join a growing FP&A team with a company that’s expanding its operations through multiple construction and capital projects. As the business scales, there’s a growing need for a dedicated analyst to support day-to-day financial modelling, variance analysis, and project-based performance reporting. This role will play a key part in improving financial visibility and allowing senior team members to focus on more strategic initiatives.

• Build and maintain financial models to support project forecasting and performance tracking
• Perform variance analysis and provide insights into financial results
• Assist with regular and ad hoc reporting for leadership and business development teams
• Support budgeting and forecasting cycles with data-driven inputs
• Work closely with finance and operations to understand business drivers and trends
• Help streamline reporting and simplify financial outputs for executive audiences
• Provide analytical support for new projects, including construction and site-specific initiatives
• Contribute to the development of tools and templates to improve efficiency
• Support general FP&A tasks to ensure continuous visibility across departments

• 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis, ideally in FP&A
• Strong Excel skills; ability to build and modify financial models
• Exposure to variance analysis and financial reporting
• Progress toward a CPA or CFA designation is an asset
• Detail-oriented with a solid grasp of accounting and finance fundamentals
• Industry experience in construction, real estate, or capital projects is a strong plus
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a growing business environment

• Estimated salary range up to $85,000, depending on experience
