CA $50,000.00/yr - CA $60,000.00/yr

  • Location – Vancouver, BC – Hybrid (2 days/week in office)
  • Working hours – Standard business hours PST
What’s The Job

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable professional to join our team. In this role, you’ll manage full-cycle accounts payable, from invoice processing and vendor setup to statement reconciliations and reporting. You’ll play a key role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly while building strong relationships with internal and external partners.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Manage the accounts payable and refund inbox and respond to vendors’ inquiries
  • Receive, sort and code invoices and supporting documents and ensure accuracy of the invoice information
  • Match invoices to support documentation such as purchase orders and tickets
  • Process weekly payments run (EFT/wires/cheques) and urgent payment requests: set up payments on the online business banking and print cheques
  • Maintain vendor database and verify vendor information, including bank details
  • Process refunds to customers
  • Process employee expense reports
  • Process credit card expense and reports
  • Process dividends and shareholder fees
  • Send payment remittances to suppliers/payees
  • Close accounts payable within 4 business days after the end of the month
  • Prepare for accruals for significant invoices received after A/P cutoff
  • Follow all aspects of month end close activities to meet deadlines
  • Act us back up for other team members as required
  • Communicate with internal & external stakeholders to ensure strong relations are maintained
  • Assist with preparation of audit information and support
  • Handle special projects, responsibilities and other duties as assigned by Management
  • Assist with payroll preparation under payroll administrator’s guidance
What You Bring
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts payable
  • A strong sense of integrity, professionalism and a results-oriented attitude to continually improve processes and systems, enhance efficiency, and contribute to overall organizational success
  • Works well under pressure to meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines within short time constraints
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to regularly interact with team members and management to provide or obtain related information
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks, likely with competing priorities
  • Strong decision making, communication (both verbal and written), and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute effectively within a team environment
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office products

    Bachelor’s degree or certificate/diploma in accounting or finance is an asset
