Technical Artist 2 (Asset Management)EA Create is a collective of content production teams partnering with EA Studios game teams to bring outstanding visuals, audio and technology to life. Technical Art is the bridge between the art and programming departments, with the capability to understand the nuances of art creation and technical code. Our goal is to support our partner teams and improve workflows for everyone.
As a Technical Artist 2 focused on Asset Management, you’ll focus on the systems and tools that organize, track, and deliver assets across production. You’ll report to a Technical Art Director and work alongside Technical Artists and content creators to refine how assets are authored and prepared for game teams. This role is central to maintaining data integrity and efficiency across multiple DCC and game engine environments.
This is a temporary hybrid position, based in our Vancouver office.
- Maintain and extend internal asset management frameworks
- Build asset workflows for consistency and scalability
- Integrate DCC tools with asset tracking and version control systems
- Support toolset releases, DCC updates, and REST API integrations
- Ensure metadata, naming, and dependency standards across production
- 5+ years in a Technical Art, Tools, or Pipeline role
- Proficient in Python scripting
- Understanding of asset management principles
- Familiarity with USD and modern content interchange standards
- Excellent documentation skills
- Shipped game titles or VFX / feature animation
- Familiarity with modern DCC applications
- Knowledge in Git Lab CI/CD pipelines
- SQL knowledge
- Perforce experience
- Experience with Confluence, Coda, or similar tools
The range listed below is what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the listed location at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
In British Columbia, compensation is CAD $100,000 – $139,500.
