This is a position that comes with a salary, and additional compensation, targeting the $130,000-$150,000+ range.

Talent Sphere Staffing Solutions is proud to partner with a leading HVAC manufacturer and distributor, recognized across North America for their trusted brand and comprehensive product offerings. With a strong presence in the industry and a commitment to innovation and service, they are looking to add a Controls Salesperson to their team. This role would have a focus in the lower mainland, to grow into a role with regional responsibilities across BC.

Position Overview
This opportunity is ideal for someone with a sales background in controls and building automation systems. The ideal candidate will bring a solid understanding of HVAC system design and controls, ideally with experience in both service and construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture relationships with key industry professionals—engineers, architects, contractors, developers, and building owners—to expand business and meet strategic goals
  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts and source net new business.
  • Understand customer requirements, to recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Recommend retrofit solutions and product alternatives to address specific client needs, including system startups and modifications
  • Contribute to the rollout of new products and services within the market
  • Offer guidance to contractors and assist in preparing project quotes
  • Stay informed on industry regulations, codes, and market developments to ensure compliance and identify growth opportunities
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to personal and professional development
  • Engage in self-learning and participate in factory visits or manufacturer training to stay current on new products and software tools
  • Participate in team meetings and relevant industry events (e.g., SMACNA, MCA, VRCA)

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and operations

  • Degree or diploma in a technical discipline preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience in HVAC or Building Automation

  • Ability to interpret mechanical and technical drawings

  • Strong communication abilities—verbal, written, and presentation skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Capable of working independently under pressure

  • Strategic mindset with an entrepreneurial drive and a passion for innovation

  • High level of personal integrity and a commitment to collaboration and respect
