We are looking for university students, in the final years of their engineering studies, to join us as summer trainees. Our trainee positions focus on shipbuilding and cover multiple disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, structural, and outfitting design.

As a Summer Trainee, you will work with Cadmatic 3D modeling tools, including Cadmatic Outfitting and Cadmatic Hull applications, develop and refine 3D models and production documentation. You will collaborate across disciplines to create a fully integrated, detailed, and clash‑free model that adheres to relevant rules, laws, and regulations. This role involves applying best practices in shipbuilding design to ensure the vessel's functionality, safety, and cost‑efficient construction.

• Previous experience in the shipbuilding industry is highly valued. Or a genuine interest in developing skills and knowledge in shipbuilding and engineering design.
• Familiarity with engineering principles and a willingness to apply theoretical knowledge to practical challenges.
• Knowledge of or experience with design software is an asset.
• Attention to detail: A careful and precise approach to tasks, especially in design and documentation work.
• The ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Strong work ethic: A commitment to contributing meaningfully to projects and tasks assigned.
• An active approach and strong problem‑solving abilities.
• A willingness to work on‑site at our North Vancouver office.
• Legal authorization to work in British Columbia.
