Your Role:- Design, model, detail and draft 3D models and 2D drawings for civil and structural projects
- Perform civil structural modelling using governing codes and industry standards and experience.
- Conduct option studies in relation to site layouts.
- Create, organize, and update drawings for FEED and detail design.
- Work with lead designer and engineer to scope out projects and establish project objectives.
- Coordinate work with other disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, etc.
- Prepare quantity estimates for projects within the department.
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
- Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
- Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Post‑secondary education in civil structural engineering/design diploma or related field.
- 5‑10 years of experience.
- CTech, ASct, or ASET considered an asset.
- Proven civil structural design experience in EPC or consulting company.
- Good understanding of applicable industry codes and standard practices.
- Proficiency with the following required:
Civil3D & AutoCAD 2D and 3D. - Proficiency with the following an asset:
Pro Steel, Smart Plant, CADWorx or Microstation, Navisworks. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast‑paced work environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $80,000 per year. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
