Zaber is looking for a creative and collaborative Mechanical Engineer to design precision positioning equipment that lowers the barriers to automation. You’ll own the development of our next-generation products and technologies from concept through to production, utilizing a mix of creative design, engineering analysis, and project management skills.

You’ll also work closely with other teams to solve technical hurdles, ensure products meet design specifications, and can be manufactured efficiently. To help bring your ideas to life, you’ll have full access to Zaber’s well-equipped machine shop and production manufacturing floor.

At Zaber, our customers span industries from biotechnology to semiconductor manufacturing, and your expertise will play a crucial role in innovating solutions to their unique challenges. Through this hands‑on product development, you’ll have the opportunity to acquire expertise in a broad range of fields including precision electromechanical design, magnetics, and servo control, as well as manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, metrology, die-casting, and injection molding.

As

a Mechanical Engineer, you will:
  • Design, prototype and test precision automation products, from sensors and actuators to multi‑axis robotic systems.
  • Lead the development of a product from concept to production.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to develop new technologies for our future products.
  • Research new capabilities and develop technical articles to help customers push the boundaries of what is possible with our devices.
  • Support Sales and Marketing teams with technical expertise to showcase our products and solve complex industry problems.
You’re the ideal Mechanical Engineer if you have:
  • A degree in mechanical engineering, engineering physics, or similar background.
  • Passion for learning and continuous improvement.
  • Hands‑on experience with mechanical systems.
  • Team‑oriented; motivated by collaboration and team success rather than individual accomplishments.
  • Programming experience in C# / Python is an asset.
