You are a technically strong and delivery-focused professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, who is passionate about infrastructure that supports clean water initiatives. Reporting to the Director, Electrical, SCADA & Facilities, you will lead multidisciplinary projects across British Columbia, managing scope, schedule, budget, and client relationships. You’ll work closely with engineering teams, clients, and stakeholders to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions in water and wastewater treatment.
You’ll also help grow our business through strong client relationships and by identifying new opportunities within the market.

What you can expect to do here:Manage electrical and control system projects, ensuring effective coordination, accurate billing, and financial performance.
Lead project delivery, ensuring designs meet quality assurance standards and align with the WSP Way.
Prepare and evaluate tender and construction packages.
Develop feasibility studies, scope definitions, preliminary engineering designs, and capital cost estimates.
Audit industrial facilities and develop preliminary designs and estimates for electrical and control system upgrades.
Complete electrical, control, and instrumentation design including P&IDs, system architecture, MV/LV power systems, and instrumentation layouts.
Design, program, and configure DCS and PLC/HMI applications.
Perform system testing, commissioning, and field support.
Prepare fee estimates, quotations, and proposals; support preparation of bids and expressions of interest.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure successful delivery.
Mentor junior engineers and technical staff, supporting their professional development.
Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and value engineering workshops.
Support business development by expanding service offerings and securing new assignments.
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Registration with EGBC, or eligibility for immediate registration.
10+ years of consulting engineering experience, including water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Proven experience managing and delivering electrical and control system projects from design through commissioning.
Strong understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code and related standards.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Experience preparing cost estimates, proposals, and managing client expectations.
Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff.
A passion for building sustainable infrastructure and making a positive community impact.
