Intermediate Structural Technologist

Match Box Consulting Group is on the hunt for an Intermediate Structural Technologist with strong Revit chops, leadership potential, and a desire to contribute to meaningful projects across BC. This is an opportunity based in North Vancouver to step into a senior role, work on impactful community-first projects with real-world purpose, and help shape the drafting standards and mentorship structure within a mission-driven team that designs housing and healthcare infrastructure for under-served communities.

Lead the next chapter of a growing structural team while working on projects that matter—from BC Housing developments to health clinics in Indigenous communities.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead the development of structural drawing packages from concept through construction.
• Set and maintain drawing standards across the structural team.
• Mentor and guide junior technologists
• Collaborate closely with internal architectural teams using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Occasionally travel to rural client communities (roughly every 3–5 months for up to a week).
• Support the field review and construction administration process.
• Contribute to multi-unit housing, youth buildings, townhome complexes, and healthcare infrastructure projects in remote BC communities.

• 10+ years of experience in structural drafting/design.
• ASTTBC designation or eligibility.
• Deep proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD—this is a must.
• Experience with timber/wood design is a strong asset.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
• Experience mentoring junior team members.
• Organizational agility and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
