About the Role
As a Technical Lead at Misty West, you’ll drive the technical vision and system design to solve client challenges. You’ll lead multidisciplinary teams, collaborate closely with clients and project managers, and stay hands-on with key technologies like sensors, optics, and motion control to deliver innovative products across industries.
Accountabilities
Understand client goals and define technical solutions that align with their visionTranslate product requirements into clear technical tasks and project plansGuide the team through implementation, problem-solving, and deliveryCommunicate effectively with clients, managing expectations and weekly check-insOwn the product roadmap and ensure alignment across stakeholdersEnsure high-quality, technically sound deliverablesLead complex, multi-party projects and collaborate with external partnersIdentify opportunities for IP reuse and process improvementsMentor junior team members and contribute to internal technical leadershipRequirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or related technical fieldMinimum 5 years leading complex electro mechanical or embedded product development, including hardware firmware integrationStrong hands on background in embedded systems design including MCU selection, schematics, PCB review, sensor integration, power management, and firmware development (C/C++)Experience with hardware in the loop testing, system bring up, debugging with lab instruments, and reliability validationProven ability to plan and deliver projects using standard project management tools and practicesDemonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams across electrical, firmware, mechanical, software, and manufacturing and working directly with clients and stakeholdersExcellent problem solving skills, high curiosity, and a learning oriented mindsetAsset. Experience with motion control, optics, or high precision sensing systemsCommitment to building sustainable, safe, and socially responsible technologiesBenefits
