Entuitive is looking for a Junior Building Envelope Specialist, based in our Vancouver office. Take the opportunity to learn more about the Building Envelope service are passionate about our work and the talented individuals that get to deliver complex projects on a regular basis.
What will you do?
- Work in all aspects of the building envelope service which includes repair and restoration projects for existing buildings and new construction projects.
- Field review and other contract administrative duties as required.
- Building envelope condition assessments and forensic inspections of existing buildings to diagnose failures or determine the condition of various building envelope systems.
- Assist with research of new products and systems as needed to service our portfolio of projects.
- Writing reports related to field work and research.
- Computer aided analysis of building envelope details and performance (training will be provided).
- Assisting with the preparation of tender specifications, drawings, and sketches.
- Internal roles in the ongoing development our technical standards and design tools.
- Drawing and specification review for new construction projects.
- Review of submittals and shop drawings during construction.
- Implementation and adherence of Entuitive’s quality assurance programs to ensure that services meet Entuitive’s standards and our client’s expectations.
- Other responsibilities as required.
Requirements
What do you need to succeed?
- 0-2 years’ experience in building envelope consulting.
- Bachelor’s degree in building science, engineering, or architecture; or equivalent training.
- Must have a working knowledge and ability to use programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Bluebeam (or another PDF mark-up tool).
- Excellent English language communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to manage complex situations with multiple stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently when needed but also enjoy collaboration and working as a team.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and always willing to learn and improve.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deliverables on an ongoing basis.
- Must be comfortable and willing to work at heights, including climbing ladders, accessing sloped roofs, and working on boom lifts, scissor lifts, swing stages, and scaffolding.
- Knowledge and interest in building performance, thermal bridging, embodied carbon and climate resiliency and adaptation are considered an asset
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Access to a passport and desire to travel for work is an asset.

- Competitive base salary: $63,000 - $73,000 (aligned with experience, qualifications, and education)
