TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for a Piping Stress Engineer role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.
Responsibilities:
Perform stress analysis to ensure piping systems meet industry standards and project requirements.Review and approve piping design documents, including Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), isometric drawings, and plot plans.Conduct flexibility analysis to ensure piping systems can accommodate thermal expansion, contraction, and other dynamic loads.Design pipe supports, including spring supports, rigid struts, and expansion joints, to maintain system stability and integrity.Prepare and review material specifications, data sheets, and technical bid evaluations for piping components.Analyze and mitigate vibration issues in piping systems to prevent mechanical failures.Perform hydraulic analysis to ensure optimal flow and pressure conditions within piping systems.Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry codes and standards, such as ASME, CSA, and API.Prepare detailed technical reports, calculations, and documentation for project deliverables.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.Provide technical support during the construction, commissioning, and start-up phases of projects.Identify and resolve technical issues related to piping stress and structural integrity.Ensure all engineering activities adhere to quality standards and best practices.Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance project outcomes.Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, providing guidance and support to junior engineers.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.Minimum 12 years of experience in piping stress analysis and design.Proficiency in stress analysis software.Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards (ASME, CSA, API).Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Experience in project management and coordination is a plus.
