TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for a Piping Stress Engineer role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform stress analysis to ensure piping systems meet industry standards and project requirements.
  • Review and approve piping design documents, including Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), isometric drawings, and plot plans.
  • Conduct flexibility analysis to ensure piping systems can accommodate thermal expansion, contraction, and other dynamic loads.
  • Design pipe supports, including spring supports, rigid struts, and expansion joints, to maintain system stability and integrity.
  • Prepare and review material specifications, data sheets, and technical bid evaluations for piping components.
  • Analyze and mitigate vibration issues in piping systems to prevent mechanical failures.
  • Perform hydraulic analysis to ensure optimal flow and pressure conditions within piping systems.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry codes and standards, such as ASME, CSA, and API.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, calculations, and documentation for project deliverables.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide technical support during the construction, commissioning, and start-up phases of projects.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues related to piping stress and structural integrity.
  • Ensure all engineering activities adhere to quality standards and best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance project outcomes.
  • Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, providing guidance and support to junior engineers.
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in piping stress analysis and design.
  • Proficiency in stress analysis software.
  • Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards (ASME, CSA, API).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in project management and coordination is a plus.
