We are looking for a full‑time Associate Teacher to join us on a six month fixed‑term contract with the possibility of extending for an additional year. This mentorship‑oriented role is designed to support teachers who are early in their career and aspire to full‑time classroom teaching in the future. The position offers an excellent opportunity to build essential skills and experiences, helping prepare educators for long‑term success in their career.
The successful candidate will join a vibrant, innovative school community focused on personal excellence, whole‑child development, and overall wellness. Enjoy the experience of teaching in a dynamic kindergarten play‑based program, in primary classrooms with a focus on emergent reading, writing and numeracy, project‑based learning, in an inquiry‑driven intermediate program supported with personal iPads, or in a distinct middle school curriculum determined by the unique development of preadolescent girls as they prepare for high school.
This position is ideal for a teacher in the first three years of their career.
- Establish a day‑to‑day connection and sense of belonging with students and colleagues in a thriving school community
- Teach in diverse classrooms from Kindergarten to Grade 7
- Support student learning with small group and individual instruction
- Collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals that embrace school values of courage, creativity, and citizenship
- Participate in a dynamic professional development network
- Enjoy leadership in co‑curricular activities
- Provide TOC (Teacher on Call) coverage from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 7, including specialist areas such as Art, PE, and Music as appropriate
- Ability to teach elementary French preferred
- Collaborate with classroom teachers by supporting in areas such as curriculum planning, differentiated instruction, and assessment
- Provide personalised instruction and learning support for individual students
- Participate in co‑curricular activities and clubs each term such as choir, debating, cooking, public speaking, coding, and musical theatre
- Engage in field trips, outdoor education, service projects, leadership development, and athletics
- B.C. Ministry of Education Certificate or Independent School Certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong time‑management and organisational skills
- Commitment to teaching the whole child
- Collaborative, flexible, and enthusiastic
This role starts in January 2026.
Compensation:
Annual salary $62,615 – $65,433.
