Axis Recruitment is partnering with a well established architecture firm based in downtown Vancouver that has been operating for over 25 years. The firm is known for its work across multi family residential, with deep expertise in wood frame and concrete construction, and a strong focus on community based, thoughtful design. The firm is continuing to grow its residential portfolio across British Columbia and is looking to add a senior level architect or architectural technologist who can take ownership of projects and support the development of the team. This role is being added to strengthen leadership capacity and support both current and upcoming work.

• Lead multi family residential projects, primarily wood frame and concrete, from early design through construction completion
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and municipalities
• Oversee design development, permitting, working drawings, tendering, and contract administration
• Coordinate and review construction documentation to ensure code compliance and technical quality
• Provide mentorship and day to day support to junior architects and technologists
• Participate in construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, site reviews, ASIs, COs, and payment certification
• Contribute to internal design processes, office standards, and continuous improvement
• Support business development through strong client relationships and project delivery

• 10+ years of experience in architecture or architectural technology, with senior level responsibility
• Strong experience delivering multi family residential projects in British Columbia
• Proven ability to lead projects and manage small to mid sized teams
• Post secondary degree in Architecture or a Diploma in Architectural Technology
• Registered with AIBC or eligible to register in BC
• Strong knowledge of BC Building Code and Vancouver Building Bylaw
• Experience with construction administration and consultant coordination
• Proficiency in BIM software (Archi

• Clear communication skills and comfort working directly with clients and authorities having

• LEED and or Passive House accreditation
• Experience with both wood frame and concrete construction
• Familiarity with CCDC contracts and different delivery models
• Interest in mentoring and contributing to office culture and standards development

Compensation for all roles Axis recruits for is multi-faceted and based on a range of factors including experience, skills, location, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, the total compensation package may include performance-based bonuses, incentives, and a comprehensive benefits offering, in accordance with applicable Employment Standards Act (ESA) requirements. Final compensation will be discussed during the interview process. We do not request or consider compensation history.
