- 18-month contract
- Hybrid (3 days onsite)
- Location:
Vancouver, BC
- Collaborate with the Rigging Lead to create rigged assets that meet platform and engine specifications.
- Implement feedback from art leads and peers to refine rigging solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with rigged assets, ensuring functionality on target platforms.
- Participate in team meetings to maintain clear and effective communication.
- Consistently meet project deadlines and milestones.
- Document new rigging tools, workflows, and techniques.
- Contribute positively to team culture and creative problem-solving.
- Minimum 3 years of professional rigging experience or equivalent.
- Demonstrated rigging proficiency through portfolio or AA/BFA degree.
- Expertise in Maya and ability to quickly adapt to new tools and workflows.
- Strong understanding of human and animal anatomy.
- Clean and efficient skinning practices.
- Passion for game development and awareness of industry trends.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and willingness to tackle complex challenges.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to in-studio workflows and tools.
- Experience with Unreal Engine 5.
- Python scripting knowledge.
- Familiarity with Motion Builder.
- Knowledge of cloth simulation or related technologies.
