ARVEN is a new menswear brand being built around a simple idea: performance luxury.
We are developing a modern capsule wardrobe for men using technical fabrics and minimalist design — combining the functionality of performance apparel with the aesthetics of high-end menswear.
The goal is to create a brand positioned between technical outerwear and refined everyday clothing, inspired by brands such as Arc'teryx Veilance, Lululemon, and other performance-driven apparel companies.
The company is currently in early development. Initial design work and sampling are being developed with a fashion studio in Vancouver.
The founding team is focused on building a modern, digitally native brand, with strong emphasis on brand storytelling, direct-to-consumer distribution, and scalable marketing.
The OpportunityWe are looking for a Creative Director / Fashion Designer to join as a co-founder and take ownership of the design and product development side of the brand.
This role is ideal for a designer who wants to move beyond working inside an established brand and instead build a brand from the ground up with real ownership and creative control.
The co-founder will lead the creative vision, design direction, and product development process.
The business side of the company — including brand strategy, marketing, and growth — is already being developed by the founding partner.
What You Will OwnAs Creative Director, you will lead the full product and design pipeline:
- Define the design direction and visual identity of the brand
- Design seasonal capsule collections
- Develop technical menswear garments using performance fabrics
- Create sketches, tech packs, and product specifications
- Lead fabric sourcing and material selection (technical and performance fabrics)
- Work with sample makers and manufacturers
- Oversee fit development and product iteration
- Build and maintain relationships with factories and suppliers
- Ensure the product quality meets a premium performance standard
We are looking for someone with experience in technical apparel or modern menswear design.
Strong candidates typically have:
- 5+ years experience in fashion or apparel design
- Background in menswear, performance apparel, or technical garments
- Experience working with technical fabrics and advanced materials
- Knowledge of the full product development cycle
- Experience creating tech packs and working with factories
Experience at companies such as Arc'teryx, Lululemon, Nike, Adidas, or similar apparel brands is highly relevant but not required.
What We Are Looking ForBeyond technical design ability, we are looking for someone who wants to build a company, not just design products.
This role is best suited for someone who:
- Wants to build a brand from the ground up
- Is motivated by ownership and long-term value creation
- Enjoys working in an early-stage environment
- Is comfortable taking responsibility for the product side of the business
This is a co-founder role with meaningful equity ownership.
Equity structure will be discussed with selected candidates and will depend on experience, contribution, and long-term commitment.
The goal is to build a true partnership between product and business leadership.
LocationRemote collaboration is possible depending on experience and ability to manage the design and development process.
