We are seeking a skilled and reliable Freelance AV Technician to join our team. As an AV Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining audio, video, and lighting equipment for a variety of events, such as conferences, presentations, and corporate and personal events. You should have a strong understanding of AV systems and the ability to troubleshoot on the spot.

This role is ideal for a freelancer with a flexible schedule who can deliver high-quality AV support on demand.

• Set up, teardown, operate, and maintain AV equipment, including projectors, screens, video conferencing systems, soundboards, lighting, stages, truss, pipe and drape etc.
• Ensure proper signal flow and connectivity for live events and recordings.
• Troubleshoot AV issues and provide solutions during events.
• Test point-to-point cabling and functionality of systems
• Track, manage and secure all associated equipment and tools on jobsite
• Work with event organizers to understand AV needs and provide effective solutions.
• Monitor and adjust audio levels, lighting, and video playback to ensure high-quality performance.
• Collaborate with other technicians and event staff for smooth execution.
• Provide post-event technical reports

• Proven experience as an AV Technician, preferably in a freelance capacity.
• Familiarity with a wide range of AV equipment, including sound systems, projectors, screens, TVs, video conferencing tools, lighting rigs, etc.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
• Strong understanding of signal flow and AV system integration.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, or on short notice, depending on event schedules.
• Basic editing skills for audio and video content (preferred but not required).
• Physically fit, safety-minded, must be able to lift 50+ pounds

• Relevant technical certification or equivalent practical experience.
• You are committed to providing exceptional customer service and your a master communicator.
• Have a professional work ethic with a positive can-do attitude
• Flexibility to work in various environments, from construction sites to finished corporate venues.
• Ability to lift and transport heavy AV equipment as required. Must have a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a criminal record check
