Aboutthe Role
We’re looking for a creator-first Ad Content Creator and Strategist who loves making content and understanding why it performs. This role is hands‑on and collaborative—you’ll design, film, edit, and appear in ads, while working closely with our Senior Digital Marketing Manager to research audiences, test creative angles, and iterate based on performance.
You don’t need to be a media buyer, but you should be curious about data, trends, and what actually converts in e-commerce.
What You’ll Do Creative & Production- Create short‑form video ads for use across platforms including:
Meta, Tik Tok, Amazon, Instacart, You Tube Shorts - Film, edit, and produce UGC‑style, native, and talking‑head content
- Edit videos primarily in Cap Cut (fast iterations and versioning)
- Design static and light motion ad assets using Figma, Adobe, or similar
- Comfortably appear on camera when needed (UGC‑style, demos, hooks)
- Write hooks, captions, and basic scripts for ads
- Leverage AI‑powered tools to efficiently generate, iterate, and optimize creative assets
- Incorporate AI tools into the creative workflow to scale ad asset production and accelerate testing
- Other e‑commerce relating design tasks as needed
- Partner closely with the Sr Paid Media Manager to align creative with campaign goals
- Research audiences, cultural trends, competitors, and emerging creative formats to support our broader e‑commerce goals
- Develop and test creative angles, hooks, and messaging frameworks
- Review ad performance regularly (CTR, thumb‑stop rate, CPA, ROAS)
- Use performance insights to iterate and improve creative over time
- Help source and manage UGC creators and creative pipelines, acquiring content within budget and on tight timelines
- Brief creators on concepts, hooks, and brand guidelines
- Support creator whitelisting and usage for paid campaigns
- Review creator content and suggest edits or improvements for performance
- Day‑to‑day creation and iteration of paid ad creatives
- Creative testing and learnings in partnership with Paid Media Manager
- UGC creator briefs, feedback, and creative direction
- A growing library of high‑performing ad formats and insights
- 4+ years experience in ad content creation, creative marketing, or social media
- Some graphic design skills with a solid eye for branding and layout
- Comfortable filming yourself and others using a phone or simple setup
- Thorough understanding of performance marketing and creative testing
- Organized, collaborative, and eager to learn through iteration
- Exposure to paid social or working with a media buyer
- Experience managing or briefing UGC creators
- Motion graphics or light animation skills
- Experience with or an interest in learning AI tools
- Salary (CAD $55,000–$75,000 base, depending on experience)
