Native Shoes is a hybrid organization based in Vancouver, BC. Employees on the marketing team located in the Greater Vancouver Area are expected to be in the office a minimum of 3days per week, with some flexibility when situations arise.

Who is Native Shoes looking for?We are looking for a Senior Graphic Designer who can both lead and execute. You will play a key role in developing and deploying the visual ecosystem of our brand across all channels and platforms, with a focus on design for product marketing initiatives and brand experiences online and in-store. You will own the design direction and production of high‑impact creative across our DTC ecosystem (web, email, social, paid), while also helping evolve our brand through art direction and campaign development.
This role will exist within a nimble in‑house creative studio and will require a high level of communication, collaboration, production, and work ethic. You will mentor and elevate an Intermediate Designer and partner closely with the rest of the marketing team to translate strategy into commercially effective creative. You are excited about the opportunity to take initiative, set visual direction, and guide others in doing their best work.
WhatThis Role Focuses On
Approximately:
- 30–40% art direction and brand development
- 60–70% DTC asset production (web, email, social, paid, retail)
- Lead design conception and execution across DTC channels, including web, email, social and paid media.
- Lead or co‑lead art direction for seasonal initiatives and key brand moments, translating strategy into design solutions that effectively communicate our brand message across channels and meet project objectives.
- Develop motion assets for performance marketing.
- Translate creative briefs and brand guidelines into high‑quality design solutions that align with our brand aesthetic and standards.
- Mentor and elevate the Intermediate Graphic Designer through feedback and guidance.
- Contribute creative ideas and solutions to brainstorming sessions and design meetings, actively participating in the development of design concepts and strategies.
- Manage and prioritize multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard of quality.
- Stay informed on design trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve design capabilities and stay ahead of the curve.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or related field
- 5–7+ years of experience in agency or in‑house within the fashion/lifestyle industry with a focus on branding, layout, color theory, typography and motion design.
- Demonstrated experience leading visual direction and producing commercially effective creative.
- Demonstrated experience building assets, campaigns, and experiences intended to drive commercial results for brands in the fashion/lifestyle industry.
