Site Contracts Manager – Horizon Recruitment Inc.

Horizon Recruitment Inc. is conducting the search for an experienced Site Contracts Manager for our client who will work on a 14/7 rotation to site in Northern BC. This role will manage major site construction contracts for a large project and will be a key part of the project delivery team.

Initially a 12 month contract term, this position will focus on long term projects and may continue for additional contract terms.

• Manage post award vendor relationships with large construction service providers
• Act as owner’s representative in all contract negotiations with site based vendors
• Negotiate all change orders, claims and scope inquiries
• Manage progress payments and approvals
• Track project budgets and schedules for contract portfolio
• Assist with the development of scope of work and RFx for construction tenders
• Liaise with project managers, engineers and construction/site managers to ensure vendors are completing work to schedule and to required quality levels.

• University level degree ideally in engineering or construction management disciplines.
• 10+ years of experience working in a project environment
• 8+ years of experience working in Mining, Construction, Oil & Gas etc.
• 8+ years of experience in contract administration / contract management
• 5+ years public procurement experience
• Exceptional communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Customer service focused approach to contract management
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills

• Competitive hourly rate will be negotiated based on past experience within major project delivery. Target rate $125-130/hr.
