We are seeking several safety-conscious Skilled Labourers to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Superintendent, you will provide general labour support on a large new build in Richmond.
This role is employed through CLAC, and membership will be required once hired.
- Perform all phases of general labor, including demolition, digging, backfill, and compaction
- Conduct preparatory work such as grading, dewatering, and slab-on-grade prep.
- Erect and dismantle temporary structures like concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, barricades, non-engineered hoarding and fencing.
- Load, unload, and move construction materials to work areas.
- Operate and maintain all power tools, as well as pneumatic hammers, vibrators, and tampers as directed.
- Tend to and feed machines like mixers, compressors, and pumps.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance, such as oiling and greasing hoists.
- Manage site cleanup, including shoveling, removing rubble and debris, and handling garbage and waste removal.
- Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants and safely remove hazardous materials.
- Adhere to and participate in the company's Health & Safety Program.
- Assist in building demolition, and sort, clean, and pile salvaged materials.
- Perform physically demanding work, with the ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Open and close the site daily and manage gates and fencing.
- Act as a swamper or rodman to assist tradespeople.
- Direct traffic at or near construction sites.
- Live the Company Values and perform other site activities as directed.

BC, Fall Protection, and Level 1 First Aid tickets, Telehandler ticket an asset. - At least 6+ years of construction site experience as a general labourer at a general contractor.
- Good communication skills and strong focus on client relationships
