Construction Manager

Match Box Consulting Group partnering with a boutique Vancouver developer that focuses on building high-quality, desirable multifamily communities across the Lower Mainland. With a growing pipeline of projects in preconstruction and presales, they are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to join their in-house team and oversee delivery of multiple residential developments.

In this role, you’ll lead projects from preconstruction through delivery, managing both townhome and 4–6 storey woodframe developments, including parkade components. You’ll work directly with senior leadership, guide multidisciplinary teams, and can shape project strategies for a developer with a reputation for quality and a strong project pipeline.

Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple residential projects in preconstruction and construction phases (townhomes, 4–6 storey woodframe, and parkades).
• Partner with VP of Construction and Development teams on estimating, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Maintain organized construction documentation, including drawings, permits, specifications, and schedules.
• Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Review bids, contracts, and invoices for accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
• Identify value-engineering opportunities and support cost-control initiatives.
• Collaborate with Customer Care to uphold quality standards and coordinate inspections.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, permitting requirements, and safety standards.
• Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a positive, professional, and engaged work culture.

• 5+ years managing large-scale multifamily residential projects in Metro Vancouver.
• Experience with woodframe construction, including townhomes, mid-rise buildings, and parkades.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodology, scopes of work, and best practices.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, trade contracts, and quality control.
• Proficiency in construction software (Bluebeam, MS Office, Outlook, Excel).
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Construction Management or related field preferred.
