Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Scheduler to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of large, fast-tracked construction projects. The successful candidate will bring deep field knowledge, advanced scheduling expertise, and proven experience managing complex schedules for projects valued between $50M and $100M
. This role is critical to ensuring schedule integrity, risk mitigation, and on-time project delivery.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze detailed, fully logic‑linked construction schedules for large-scale, fast‑tracked projects.
- Prepare baseline schedules, look‑ahead schedules, recovery schedules, and schedule updates in accordance with project and contractual requirements.
- Integrate design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities into comprehensive project schedules.
- Perform critical path analysis, schedule risk assessments, and time‑impact analyses.
- Monitor project progress, identify schedule variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure accurate sequencing and realistic durations.
- Support claims avoidance and resolution by maintaining accurate schedule documentation and providing schedule analysis as required.
- Produce clear schedule narratives, reports, and visualizations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure schedules comply with contract requirements, industry best practices, and applicable standards.
- Minimum 10 years of overall construction industry experience
, with a strong understanding of field operations and project execution. - At least 5 years of dedicated construction scheduling experience on projects valued between $50M and $100M
. - Demonstrated experience working on fast‑tracked construction projects
. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project and Primavera (P6) scheduling software.
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods, sequencing, and productivity.
- Proven ability to manage complex schedules with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Post‑secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience with schedule delay analysis and claims support.
- Familiarity with cost‑loaded schedules and earned value analysis.
- Experience working with owners, consultants, and major subcontractors on large commercial or infrastructure projects.
