Position Summary

WELL Health’s Corporate Development & Strategy team is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate to help execute on our capital allocation, M&A program and strategic initiatives. The team is looking for a self-starter capable of sourcing and executing on M&A transactions through to closing. The role will also require the candidate to support the Corporate Development & Strategy team with administrative and project management duties pertaining to active and prospective deal flow.

What

You Will Be Doing
  • Execution on live M&A deals from LOI signing to transaction closing within WELL’s Canadian Clinics
  • Working with various WELL affiliates to propagate and accelerate M&A efforts
  • Financial modelling of prospective deals and current LOI pipeline
  • Work on ad-hoc strategy initiatives, including IR, capital expenditure analysis, capital structure work, partnering with business unit leaders to help analyze key decisions
  • Liaising with relevant stakeholders to gather information and assist in the deal generation process
  • Supporting key projects on automating key processes using WELL’s Corp Dev & Strategy toolset
  • Assisting in due diligence of current and prospective targets
  • Supporting the managing of the CRM and overall prospecting efforts
  • Perform administrative and related duties as assigned and assist others in the department as required
  • Helping manages and mentor the full Corporate Development team, inclusive of analysts and interns
You Have
  • At least three years of experience in an investment bank, transaction advisory, corporate development or other relevant M&A driven roles
  • Direct M&A deal experience strongly preferred
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred but not required
  • Strong financial acumen and knowledge/understanding of valuation methodologies
  • High degree of proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively on team projects.
