Position OverviewThe Apprentice Technician at Audi Downtown Vancouver plays an important role in supporting the Service Department by assisting with vehicle maintenance, repair activities, and overall shop efficiency. Reporting to the Service Manager, this position provides hands ‑ on learning and mentorship opportunities while contributing to the team ’ s commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and high ‑ quality automotive work.
This role supports the dealership’s long ‑ term technician pipeline by developing core technical skills, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring all service operations follow brand and dealership standards.
The expected pay for this position is $24.00 - $36.00 per hour.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Document all repairs, inspections, and services performed in a clear and accurate manner.
- Assist licensed technicians with daily repairand maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Perform additional service requests and basic mechanical tasks under supervision.
- Road test vehicles before and after servicing toverify repair needs and completed work (as permitted by training level).
- Notify the Service Advisor of any additional required repairs, parts, or labor identified during service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shop.
- Follow all dealership, manufacturer, and safety guidelines.
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Service Manager or designated supervisor.
- Successful completion of Level 3-4 of a registered automotive apprenticeship program.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention todetail.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Self ‑ motivated with a strong desire tolearn and develop technical skills.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
